The Green Inclusive Finance Conference organised by NpM – Platform for Inclusive Finance, FMO and Hivos will take place in The Hague on 22 September 2015.
Both financial and environmental sustainability are listed high on the world’s agenda. Green inclusive financecombines financial inclusion with environmental sustainability. It extends the focus to providing access to finance in which businesses and investments are not only financially empowering but also environmentally sustainable.
The aim of the event is twofold:
1) to illustrate the sense of urgency of 'greening' the inclusive finance sector; a must-be on the sector's agenda; and
2) to demonstrate real life practices of successful green inclusive finance business models and contemplate how to upscale/replicate these examples; different types of organisations will highlight their efforts.
