ADVANCING FINANCIAL INCLUSION FOR REFUGEES & FORCIBLY DISPLACED PEOPLE
The European Microfinance Award 2024 highlights organisations active in financial inclusion that help forcibly displaced people build resilience, restore livelihoods, and live with dignity in host communities.
The application period is now closed and all applications submitted for Round 1 are currently under evaluation.
Applications that pass this phase will be invited during the first half of May to submit the Full Application Form (Round 2).

PRIX EUROPÉEN DE LA MICROFINANCE 2024
FAIRE PROGRESSER L'INCLUSION FINANCIÈRE DES RÉFUGIÉS ET DES PERSONNES DÉPLACÉES DE FORCE
L’édition 2024 du Prix européen de la microfinance entend braquer les projecteurs sur les organisations d’inclusion financière qui aident les personnes déplacées de force à accroître leur résilience, à retrouver des moyens de subsistance et à vivre dignement au sein de leur communauté d’accueil.
La période de sélection est maintenant terminée et toutes les candidatures soumises pour le premier tour sont en cours d'évaluation.
Les candidats qui passent cette phase seront invitées au cours de la première quinzaine de mai à soumettre le formulaire de candidature complet (2ème Tour).

PROMOVIENDO LA INCLUSION FINANCIERA PARA LOS REFUGIADOS Y LAS PERSONAS DESPLAZADAS POR LA FUERZA
El Premio Europeo de las Microfinanzas 2024 reconoce a las organizaciones que promueven la inclusión financiera para ayudar a las personas desplazadas por la fuerza a desarrollar su resiliencia, restablecer sus medios de vida y vivir de forma digna en las comunidades de acogida.
El plazo de presentación de aplicaciones ha culminado y todas las solicitudes presentadas para la Ronda 1 se encuentran actualmente en fase de evaluación.
Las aplicaciones que superen esta fase serán invitadas durante la primera quincena de mayo a presentar el formulario de candidatura completo (Ronda 2).

ABOUT THE EUROPEAN MICROFINANCE AWARD
The European Microfinance Award (EMA) is a prestigious annual award with €100,000 for the winner and €10,000 for the runners-up, which attracts applications from organisations active in financial services around the world that are innovating in a particular area of financial inclusion. It serves two parallel goals: rewarding excellence, and collecting and disseminating the most relevant practices for replication by others.
The EMA was launched in 2005 by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs – Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs. It is jointly organised by the Ministry, the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP), and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe.lu), in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The EMA is presented in a ceremony which in the past has been in the presence of Her Royal Highness the Grand-Duchess of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs. The ceremony takes place during the European Microfinance Week.
