Fondazione Giordano Dell'Amore (FGDA) and European Microfinance Network (EMN) announce the eighth edition of the Giordano Dell'Amore Microfinance Good Practices Europe Award. The Award is open to any European institution or organisation directly or indirectly involved, for at least 12 months prior to the date of application, in the financial inclusion of people excluded from mainstream financial services or with a limited access to them in European Union or EFTA countries.

The topic of the present edition of the Europe Award is: "Products, services and target clients for a better understanding of microfinance today" as the European Microfinance Network and Fondazione Giordano Dell'Amore believe in the necessity to take stock of the continuously changing market realities and of what the sector understands by microfinance: what products and services does it include and whom are they addressed to? For this purpose, the initiative presented must focus on existing products/services and/or target clients better representing the institution's microfinance perspective.

The deadline for applications is 14th February 2016 at 12.00 am CET (midnight). Applications will be accepted only in English.

The winner will receive EUR 50,000 to be reinvested for the development and implementation of new projects in Europe or towards the core costs of existing services. The Award Ceremony will be held on the occasion of the 13th European Microfinance Network Annual Conference scheduled for 16 and 17 June 2014, in Warsaw.
