The Global Forum on Remittances and Development (GFRD) is organized by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the World Bank and the European Commission. In support of the overall goals of GFRD, ‘GFRD 2015 Awards’ to recognize and celebrate best practices in the field of remittances and development.
The GFRD2015 Awards has two categories:
1. Private Sector Award for Best Practice in Remittances for Development
This Award recognizes and celebrates demonstrated excellence from the private sector in promoting remittances for social and economic development. The award highlights private sector commitment, innovation and impact.
2. Project Award for Best Practice in Remittances for Development
This Award recognizes and celebrates projects that have demonstrated excellence in remittances for social and economic development; for their coordination, partnerships, innovation and impact.
