Join e-MFP & FiF UK in London on March 3 for an in-person panel discussion on how inclusive insurance can strengthen resilience for low-income and vulnerable communities, featuring the 2025 European Microfinance Award winners!
When: 3 March 2026, 6-9pm
Where: Howden, 1 Creechurch Lane, London EC3A 5AF
Organised by e-MFP in partnership with the Financial Inclusion Forum, this event spotlights the 2025 European Microfinance Award (EMA), themed “Building Resilience Through Inclusive Insurance.” As climate, health and economic shocks become more frequent, the conversation will focus on why inclusive insurance matters now and how it can be designed to work better for the people who need it most.
The EMA was established in 2005 by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade to promote innovative microfinance initiatives. It is organised jointly by the MFA, the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg and e-MFP. Focusing on a different topic each year (and with a €100,000 prize for the winner), the EMA serves two parallel goals: rewarding excellence, and collecting and disseminating the most relevant practices for replication by others.
EMA 2025 was won by RADIANT YACU Ltd. with Britam General Insurance from Kenya and DHAN Foundation from India as runners-up. Insights and profiles of these three finalists, as well as the nine other semi-finalists selected from 103 applicants, are featured in the Award publication, which will be presented at this session.
The event on March 3rd will bring together practitioners, funders, policymakers and researchers to share insights from the Award and reflect on what’s next for the sector.
