European Microfinance Award 2025

Building Resilience through Inclusive Insurance

The EUR100,000 European Microfinance Award 2025 on ‘Building Resilience through Inclusive Insurance' highlights organisations that enable low-income and vulnerable people to build resilience and manage risk thanks to inclusive and effective insurance.

The European Microfinance Award is a prestigious annual €100,000 award, which attracts applications from financial service providers around the world that are innovating in a particular area of financial inclusion. The Award was launched in 2005 by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade (MFA), and is jointly organised by e-MFP, MFA and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe).

Congratulations to Britam General Insurance from Kenya; DHAN Foundation from India; and RADIANT YACU Ltd. from Rwanda which have been chosen by the Selection Committee as the three finalists for the European Microfinance Award 2025 on “Building Resilience through Inclusive Insurance”.

These three organisations, who will go on to compete for the €100,000 prize, demonstrate how organisations working in financial inclusion can enable low-income and vulnerable people to build resilience and manage risk thanks to inclusive and effective insurance.

The winner will be chosen and announced on 13 November at a ceremony to be held during e-MFP’s annual event.
