GREEN INDEX 3.0 Training Series

The e-MFP Green Finance Action Group invited all professionals working on green inclusive finance to participate in a series of four free online trainings on the Green Index 3.0 Framework.

The Green Index is a comprehensive framework for assessing the environmental performance of financial services providers (FSPs) and formulating action plans for improvement. Developed by the e-MFP Green Inclusive and Climate Smart Finance Action Group (GICSF-AG) in 2014, it underwent updates in 2016 (Green Index 2.0) and 2022 (Green Index 3.0). It has been designed to support the inclusive finance sector’s engagement in the definition, implementation, and monitoring of environmental practices and to contribute to mainstream green inclusive finance. 

Each week, during May 2025, a training on one of the 4 standards of the GI 3.0 framework was delivered by the GF-AG Lead Experts Davide Forcella and Natalia Realpe Carrillo. The trainings were offered in 3 languages (English, French, Spanish).

Target audience: All actors working on green inclusive finance, new to the Green Index 3.0 or looking to have a refresher on the Green Index 3.0 framework and its concepts.

Learning objectives for each session:

• Gain an initial understanding of the GI 3.0 standard and related best practices.

• Develop the basis for assessing the status of your institution in relation to the standard and identify gaps that require action.

  
  

Registration:

• Participants attending the 4 sessions received a certificate of participation for the training series on The Green Index 3.0 Framework.
