Dirk Lebe has a cooperative banking, regional development banking and microfinance background and has been working for more than 20 years in the financial sector in Europe, Africa and Asia. Currently he is Deputy Program Director of the Sustainable Cocoa Production Program (SCPP) in Indonesia, designed and implemented by Swisscontact, the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation, and funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCA-I) and big players in the chocolate industry. As Financial Services Specialist he and his team implement the Agribusiness Financing Facility (AFF), promoting responsible Access to Finance (A2F) for 130,000 cocoa farmers. He has been an individual associate member of e-MFP since 2012 and holds a PhD in economics.
