ADA's next Midi de la Microfinance on 9th March, will discuss how investment funds could boost sustainable agriculture in developing countries.
For this event, two experts are invited, Massimo Pera from FAO, Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, and Matthew Sparkes from Root Capital, a leader in agricultural investment fund, to give their point of view about the situation. They will discuss the solutions available to deal with this serious problem of sustainable and impact investing of small and rural producers of different value chains, especially in the regions of Latin America and Africa. Moreover, they will analyze how foreign investment, also from Luxembourg, can improve this situation. The representative of Root Capital will also address the issue of return of an investment fund with social impact. The debate will be moderated by Gilles Franck, independent investor and consultant, and member of the Board of ADA.
