The Green Inclusive and Climate-Smart Finance Action Group (GICSF AG) is organising online trainings on the Green Index 3.0 for Financial Services Providers (FSPs) interested to know more about the assessment and management of green inclusive finance performance. The training will include data gathering on FSPs environmental performance, and will be held in 3 languages:

ENGLISH: 8 Nov, 10-11:30 am CET

SPANISH: 10 Nov, 4-5:30 pm CET

FRENCH: 12 Nov, 11 am–12:30 pm CET

- Register: EN / SP / FR -

Practical information

During the training, you'll be invited to fill a Green Index 3.0. For this reason, the participant taking the training should ideally be the staff member who is the most knowledgeable around the green activities and initiatives of the FSP. Nevertheless, feel free to invite as many staff members as you wish to participate in the training.

If you have a smartphone, please bring it with you so that you will be able to open the Green Index 3.0 survey and fill the survey from your phone, while following the training on your computer. If you do not have a smartphone, do not worry, you will be able to fill the Green Index 3.0 survey on your computer as well.

The Heads of the Green Inclusive and Climate-Smart Finance Action Group (GICSF AG) will provide the training:

  • Davide Forcella (YAPU Solutions, CERMi)
  • Natalia Realpe Carrillo (HEDERA Sustainable Solutions, Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS))

Background information

As you probably know, the Green Inclusive and Climate-Smart Finance Action Group (GICSF AG) has been working in the last year to develop the Green Index 3.0 together with more than 300 stakeholders and inclusive finance experts. For more info please look at this short presentation.

The STPF, CERISE and the GICSF AG have parallelly launched a joint project in 2020 and developed together the Environmental Performance dimension, i.e. Dim 7 of the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management (USSPM). This new environmental dimension is now fully integrated into the new universal standards for social and environmental performance management.

The Green Index 3.0 and the Dim 7 USSPM are aligned, they include the lessons learnt of more than 10 years of experiences in green inclusive finance, with more than 1000 environmental assessment already performed, and they aim to become the reference for Environmental Performance assessment of FSPs. The Green Index 3.0 adds additional details for a more in-depth analysis at the indicators level, including detailed quantitative indicators.

We are glad to let you know that both tools, Green Index 3.0 and the Dim 7 USSPM, are now finalised and ready to be deployed.

Thanks a lot for your precious and continuous support.

We're looking forward to meet you in the training.

Natalia and Davide

Heads of Green Inclusive and Climate-Smart Finance AG
