The €100,000 European Microfinance Award 2022 on ‘'Financial Inclusion that Works for Women' highlights organisations working in financial inclusion that aim to understand and meet women's challenges and aspirations in order to go beyond traditional gender outreach strategies.
If you are an organisation:
Active in the financial inclusion sector, based in an eligible country, and fully operational for at least 2 years
Working with low-income vulnerable and excluded groups
Striving to meet women’s challenges and aspirations through the services you offer as well as through your organisation’s policies and practices
e-MFP is organising an Application guidance session in English on the 21st March, 10am CET during which the e-MFP team will go over the Award process and reply to any questions that potential applicants may have. If you would like to participate, please register here

El Premio Europeo de las Microfinanzas “La inclusión financiera al servicio de la mujer” destaca la labor de las organizaciones activas en el ámbito de la inclusión financiera que aspiran a comprender y satisfacer los desafíos y aspiraciones de las mujeres para ir más allá de las estrategias tradicionales de alcance.
Si usted es una organización:
Activa en el sector de la inclusión financiera, con sede en un país elegible, y plenamente operativa desde hace al menos dos años
Que trabaja con grupos de bajos ingresos vulnerables y excluidos
Que busca responder a los desafíos y aspiraciones de las mujeres a través de los servicios que ofrece, así como de las políticas y prácticas de su organización

About the Award
The European Microfinance Award is a prestigious annual award with €100,000 for the winner and €10,000 for the runners-up, which attracts applications from organisations active in financial services around the world that are innovating in a particular area of financial inclusion. It serves two parallel goals: rewarding excellence, and collecting and disseminating the most relevant practices for replication by others.
The Award was launched in 2005 by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs – Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs. It is jointly organised by the Ministry, the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP), and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe.lu), in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB).
