European Microfinance Week (EMW), hosted by e-MFP, is one of the top events in the microfinance calendar and a unique meeting point for microfinance professionals working worldwide. EMW brings together all sectors of the inclusive finance sector including consultants & support service providers, investors, multilateral & national development agencies, NGOs and researchers. With an unparalleled program and prestigious speakers, the event is widely recognised for its high quality sessions and excellent networking opportunities.

Thanks to the more than 490 participants from 66 countries who gathered in Luxembourg 29 November - 1 December,  for an exceptional European Microfinance Week.

On 29 November, ‘Action Group’ Day,  our specialised working groups met to build on their months of work with in-depth discussions and training on their focus topics such as: inclusive green finance, digital innovations, SME finance and rural finance.

During 30 November and 1 December, there was a fantastic line-up with three plenaries: "Microfinance for housing finance” (the topic of this year’s European Microfinance Award), “Women clients ≠ women empowerment: Beyond the numbers” and “Microfinance: positioning ourselves for the next decade”. Over these two days more than 80 organisations featured in over 30 sessions covering a range of front line topics and for the first time too, a TED-style session on digital and customer-centric solutions.
