New sector initiative to strengthen Human Resources development in microfinance

The e-MFP Human Resources Action Group has developed a survey for financial service providers (FSPs) to understand their current state of HR practice and gain insight into alternative approaches that contribute to social and financial performance. This survey is for all institutions aiming at cultivating talent and protecting and benefiting their employees.

If you are a FSP working with low-income populations, we invite you to take the survey in EnglishFrenchSpanish or Russian until 28th February 2021. If you work with FSPs, please share this invitation with them. You can watch a 4-minute video about this initiative here

e-MFP will share the global (anonymized) data from the entire survey response, so that participating FSPs can compare their organization’s performance to the global benchmarks and identify areas of strength as well as opportunities for improvement. Participants will also have the chance to win a scholarship for next year’s European Microfinance Week in Luxembourg or the SPTF annual meeting.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the e-MFP HR Action Group, and its members:  ILO, Academy of German Cooperatives, SPTF, MFC, TripleJump, Incofin, and ADA, to develop standards and benchmarks for human capacity development. By participating in this survey, you are assisting in their effort to bring awareness and resources to the area of human capacity development in microfinance.
