Created last February, the Burkina Faso based investment fund Sinergi Burkina will be officially launched on October 14th 2014 in Ouagadougou.

Sinergi Burkina is a social venture capital company targeting Burkinabè SMEs whose investment needs range from EUR 30,000 to 300,000. It provides close management support and long-term financing to SMEs through minority equity stakes and shareholder loans. Sinergi Burkina is sponsored by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) alongside Burkinabè investors and entrepreneurs who will be mentors of the funds' entrepreneurs.

I&P is an impact investment group created in 2002 and dedicated to African SMEs with a track record of over 45 investments in 15 Sub-Saharan African countries. I&P founded Sinergi Burkina as part of its IPDEV 2 scaling-up project which plans to create 10 local investment funds in 10 African countries within the next decade. These 100% African funds will bring new funding solutions to the "missing middle" of the African economies, and support a total of 550 SMEs.
