ABOUT E-MFP

Become a member

The European Microfinance Platform [e-MFP] welcomes applications for membership at three levels: full membership, associate membership and sponsorship. Full membership is open to organisations, with headquarters in Europe, who support microfinance in developing countries. Associate membership is open to any entity or individual involved in the development of the microfinance sector, within or outside Europe. A body that does not meet the criteria to become a full or associate member or that does not want to become a member but wishes to support specific activities of e-MFP may become a Sponsor.

Benefits of membership include: inclusion in e-MFP’s directory and information dissemination listings; involvement in the activities of e-MFP Action Groups; free subscription to the regular newsletter and e-Bulletin; access to publish in "European Dialogue", our microfinance journal; and facilitation of joint initiatives with European partners. We also include your organisational profile and logo on our website, www.e-mfp.eu. Full members enjoy full voting rights at the General Meeting of Members and the right to propose a candidate for election to the Board of Directors. An invitation to the annual European Microfinance Week conference [with registration fee discount] is also included.

To apply for Full or Associate membership [for an organisation], simply apply online. For Associate individual membership, just send us your C.V and an indication of the Action Groups in which you are interested. Full membership applications are also asked to download our application form and return a printed copy on headed notepaper to:

Applications for membership are subject to a screening process, the results of which will be communicated in writing.

Membership fees for an organisation are €750 (Full or Associate membership). This includes two free entries to European Microfinance Week (registration fee for non-members is €400 per person)

Membership fees for an individual are €150. This includes one free entry to European Microfinance Week (registration fee for non-members is €400)
