Types of members
Full members

Full membership is open to entities with headquarters based in Europe supporting microfinance outside of Europe.

Full members have the right to participate in all activities and Action Groups of the Association and to vote in the governing bodies of the Association. This includes the election rights for the Board of Directors of the Association.

Only Full Members are considered “Associés” in terms of the Law.
Associate members

Associate membership is open to any entities or individuals which are involved in the development of the microfinance sector inside or outside Europe.

Associate members have the right to participate in the activities of the Association and to be present at the General Meeting of Members. However, they do not have the right to vote in the governing bodies of the Association.
Sponsor

An entity that does not meet the criteria to become a Full or Associate member or that does not want to become a member but wants to support specific activities of the platform, may become a “Sponsor” of e-MFP.

A Sponsor relationship will be determined on a case by case basis between the potential sponsor and the Board of Directors of the Association.

Sponsors do not have the right to vote in the governing bodies of the Association but may be admitted to the General Meeting of Members on special invitation issued by the board.
